ConTatto is a documentary that follows the emotional and relational dynamics of two couples living in Rome. Luca (39), sex worker, shares a life with Alain (46) left paralyzed by a spinal stroke 10 years ago, shadowed by Alain’s personal wish for assisted suicide. Across the city, Teresa (75), a feminist activist, lives with Luce (70), a retired chemist who transitioned from male to female at age 65. They were married for 35 years, now in a civil union as a lesbian couple. As these two couples navigate the complexities of desire, pain, love, sex and death , their stories intertwine—reflecting on the question: What does it mean to commit to love?
